As a Software Engineer specializing in GoLang at Shiprocket, you will be building scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs that power our logistics and e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for optimizing system performance, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust, efficient, and secure software solutions. Ideal candidates should have expertise in GoLang, experience with microservices architecture, and a strong understanding of distributed systems. A proactive attitude and a passion for solving complex problems are essential for success in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based Golang applications for Shiprocket Platform.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Develop backend data services and contribute to increasing existing APIs.
• Ability to act individually in a complex and fast paced environment.
• Closely work with the Product and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Participate in solution designing with Tech leads and Systems Architects.
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
• Coordinate with co-developers & keep project manager well informed of the status of development efforts.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• B Tech/BE in Computer Science or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• Expertise in Golang, MySQL, Mongo and Git.
• Knowledge of restful Web services & understanding of web applications.
• Working knowledge of one or more caching, queuing systems in desirable (familiarity with AngularJS, React and Laravel is a big plus).
• Excellent problem solving and can-do attitude.
• Excellent verbal, written communications skills & ability to do multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Strong listening and presentation skills.
